Emergency Care
WMC’s Emergency Department offers:
- Registered nurse on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Physician on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Available for treatment of all minor illnesses, injuries and hospital admission.
If your emergency requires a higher level of care than can be provided at a Critical Access Hospital, you will be stabilized and medically evacuated to another facility.
Inpatient Care
Acute care is for patients who are admitted for short-term medical treatment of an illness or injury. An acute care stay at the hospital is measured in days rather than weeks and also includes outpatient and short-stay care. Acute care patients are provided a registered nurse on duty 24 hours a day, an on-call physician 24 hours a day, and room amenities including local calls, internet access, cable TV and guest meals.
