A Healthier Future Built on Recovery
The SEARHC Wellness Support Program (WSP) is a key part of our Comprehensive Addiction Services. Designed as a supplemental, 16-week early recovery housing program, WSP supports adults who are actively engaged in SEARHC’s Substance Use Disorder (SUD) intensive outpatient treatment.
WSP provides a safe, structured, and recovery-centered living environment where participants learn and practice skills they are taught in treatment and gives them time to strengthen and implement these skills within their day to day lives before transitioning out of the program. Each participant receives compassionate 24-hour support that includes housing, meals, care coordination, and guidance from a team dedicated to long-term recovery.
By living in a supportive environment while attending daily treatment and group sessions, participants are able to:
- Safely explore factors leading to substance use and discover a path of healing and moving forward with the support of professional counselors
- Learn about early recovery and relapse prevention in groups and individual counseling
- Build healthy routines and relapse prevention skills
- Access cultural, wellness, and recreational activities
- Practice independence with support from staff
- Connect with medical, dental, psychiatric, and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) resources as needed
- Develop life skills such as employment readiness, housing stability, and community engagement
The WSP phase system provides a structure that promotes a gradual progression towards independence helping participants transition from early recovery into sustainable, long-term wellness. Each phase builds on the last — starting with healing and stability, moving into community engagement, and preparing for the next step in your healing journey.
As part of SEARHC’s comprehensive model of care, WSP is not a stand-alone program but an extension of the larger SUD treatment pathway. This ensures that clients have a continuum of services that meets them where they are and supports them as they move forward—from intensive outpatient care through structured recovery housing and back into their communities with ongoing outpatient and peer support.
The goal of the Wellness Support Program is to provide transformational stability, structure, and support, preparing participants for a healthier future built on recovery. To learn more or make a referral call 907.966.8787 or email recovery@searhc.org.
