Speech-Language Pathology therapy is critical for patients with certain medical conditions and is used to help people with speech and language problems to speak more clearly. Our staff assist patients with a broad range of physical and cognitive communication disorders: issues with articulation, stuttering, word finding, semantics, syntax, phonics, vocalization and swallowing.
SEARHC offers speech and language services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Therapies include the following:
- Help with feeding and swallowing
- Evaluation and treatment of speech sound production
- Stroke rehabilitation and other speech and language disorders
- Hearing rehabilitation
- Treatment of cognitive skills to improve attention, memory, and problem-solving skills
Those interested in Speech-Language Pathology should meet with their primary care provider and obtain a referral before making an appointment.
