Education and Experience
Drew did his undergraduate work at the University of Oregon, then attended the University of Massachusetts where he attained a bachelor of science degree in exercise physiology and a doctorate of Physical Therapy.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon, Drew lived in Maui for a few years surfing every day. With a desire to help people with their physical health, he went back to school at the University of Massachusetts for a degree in Physical Therapy. He worked as a trainer for the University of Massachusetts Division 1 college athletic teams: Soccer, Field Hockey, Volleyball, and Baseball. Additionally, he has nine years of experience as a yoga instructor. After graduating with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Drew worked in a locked unit nursing home with advanced Dementia, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, and more, although this was rewarding, he decided to return to his original passion in orthopedics and sports. He came to Sitka on a contract and soon realized he loves the place, the people, and the lifestyle. Meeting and speaking with members of the community is the most rewarding aspect of his work in Sitka.
Personal Interests
In his personal time, Drew enjoys hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, doing yoga, reading, eating and gaming.
