Education and Experience
Kate Salerno, FNP, holds a bachelor’s degree in French and International Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed her master’s degree in nursing at the University of San Diego. Kate furthered her Nurse Practitioner training with an MSN from Florida Atlantic University. She joined SEARHC in July 2024, bringing a diverse background in healthcare with experience spanning emergency medicine, gastroenterology, interventional pain management, internal medicine and addiction medicine.
Throughout her career, Kate has served in various roles, including in Emergency Medicine at Bartlett Regional Hospital, Gastroenterology at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Interventional Pain Management at Arthritis Relief Centers and Coastal Carolinas Integrated Medicine. Additionally, she worked as an Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine Nurse Practitioner with Odibo Medical Group in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Kate is deeply committed to empathizing with patients, establishing strong relationships and empowering them to achieve their wellness goals. Her approach to care emphasizes patient-centered support and holistic well-being.

Outside of work Kate enjoys hiking, swimming, running, baking and spending time with her husband, son and dog.
