Education and Experience
Tina Pleasants, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, is an experienced nurse practitioner specializing in pain management and substance abuse treatment. She began her career in 2003 as a Registered Nurse at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center, where she provided inpatient care. She later joined Bartlett Regional Hospital, specializing in wound, ostomy and continence care.
After earning her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Arizona State University, Tina worked in primary care at Valley Medical Care in Juneau for several years. She also earned a Post-Master’s Certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati. As a psychiatric family nurse practitioner, Tina worked at JAMHI, Juneau’s community behavioral health center, and provided care at the Johnson Youth Center and Bartlett Regional Hospital, where she treated high-risk youth and patients with mental health and substance use disorders.
Tina’s diverse background and dedication to holistic care have equipped her to address complex patient needs, from psychiatric mental health to pain management.
She credits her parents for teaching her resilience, respect for others, and the instilling the importance of education. Her children further motivate her to pursue career goals that contribute to a safer, healthier community where families can grow and thrive.
Tina came to SEARHC because of her desire to improve the health of the community, where she was born and is raising her family.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Tina enjoys spending time with her partner, their five children and many pets.
