Education and Experience
Kwame Diehl earned his Master in Social Work from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2019. His journey in the field includes valuable experience working in various roles. He spent 18 months as an intake assessment specialist for Akeela via behavioral health, followed by three years as a children’s mental health clinician with Akeela. Additionally, Kwame has a 19-year history with Juneau Youth Services, where he worked in roles such as case manager, supervisor and assistant program manager. He finds fulfillment in engaging with patients, understanding their concerns and helping them meet their needs.
Kwame joined SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARCH) in January of 2024. His approach to social work is rooted in open communication and empathy. He values the opportunity to connect with patients, actively listen to their concerns, and collaborate on effective solutions. His extensive experience allows him to navigate the complexities of behavioral health, contributing to the well-being of those he serves.
Personal Interests
Kwame finds joy in the great outdoors. Whether it’s hiking, fishing, or hunting, he appreciates the beauty of nature. Equally important to him is spending quality time with his family as well as fostering a sense of connection and balance in his life.
