Bridget has received recognition for her contributions beyond physical therapy, including being named Woman of the Year by Sitkans Against Family Violence (SAFV) in 2007 and receiving the Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest Service Award in 2022 for living the values of service and community.

Education and Experience
Bridget Hitchcock, MPT, CLT, is an experienced physical therapist specializing in orthopedics, geriatrics, lymphedema management, and pre- and post-natal physical therapy. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and her Master of Physical Therapy from Western Carolina University.
Bridget began her career in 2001 at Sitka Physical Therapy, where she provided evaluation and treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal diagnoses. In 2012, she transitioned to Sitka Community Hospital, where she continued her work until the facility joined SEARHC. Since then, Bridget has been part of SEARHC’s Mountainside Rehabilitation Clinic, where she continues to deliver personalized, compassionate care to her patients.
Bridget is deeply inspired by her field, which empowers patients to heal themselves using their own bodies, supported by expert guidance. She finds great satisfaction in connecting with her patients, understanding their unique stories, and discovering what motivates them on their journey to wellness.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Bridget enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their teenagers. She loves hiking, running, exploring alpine trails and staying engaged with her community.
