On March 30, 2022, Rainforest Pediatric Care will become the newest member of the SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium’s (SEARHC) Care Network, expanding SEARHC’s pediatric care services in Juneau. Since 2000, Rainforest Pediatric Care has built a patient and family-focused practice based upon a commitment for delivering quality medical care to the community of Juneau, according to Dr. Joy Neyhart, a board-certified pediatrician who built Rainforest Pediatric Care.
“We are all looking forward to our partnership with SEARHC,” said Neyhart. “I, along with my team, Kathryn Rabung, RN and Angie Lawlar, office manager, will be making the move into the Ethel Lund Medical Center (ELMC). Healthcare is a very personal experience, not a business transaction; this is a shared value I know Rainforest families will experience throughout the SEARHC Care Network.”
“Merging Rainforest Pediatric Care with SEARHC is another step toward our mission to fill out our service lines toward a complete spectrum of healthcare offerings,” said SEARHC President and CEO Charles Clement. “We focus on new partnerships and mergers, with likeminded organizations. Our staff is doing everything to ensure a smooth transition and uninterrupted care for our new patients and their families.”
“This partnership allows for sustainable board-certified pediatric medical care in Juneau for the long term,” said Neyhart. “We value the relationship we have built with our patients and their families, and I am confident they will remain in good hands through this transition.”
Current and future Rainforest Pediatric Care patient appointments will be at a new location within ELMC at 1200 Salmon Creek Lane, and appointments may be made or confirmed at the new phone number 907.463.4040.
