Dr. Johnson specializes in developmental and rehabilitative optometry. His areas of expertise include helping patients develop visual skills, improving visual comfort and efficiency, and supporting children who experience challenges with reading and academic performance related to vision. He has a particular interest in myopia control treatments in pediatric patients. Additionally, he works with the visual rehabilitation of patients recovering from head injuries, concussions, and strokes, helping them regain visual abilities and improve daily function.
Dr. Johnson is inspired by the opportunity to help patients achieve visual skills they may never have previously developed. He is passionate about helping children overcome vision-related barriers to learning, and supporting patients as they recover visual function following injury. Dr. Johnson believes strongly in communication with, and education for, the patients he serves.
Outside of work, Dr. Johnson enjoys fishing, hunting, hiking, and cooking, especially outdoor Dutch oven cooking.
