Dr. Krystal Nelson earned her Bachelor of Science in biology, graduating summa cum laude from Black Hills State University. She completed her Doctor of Optometry at Pacific University College of Optometry with academic honors. After graduating, Dr. Nelson completed a residency in ocular disease at Gallup Indian Medical Center in New Mexico.
Her clinical interests center on ocular disease, and she is passionate about helping patients navigate complex conditions such as diabetes-related eye complications, glaucoma, and urgent eye injuries and infections. Dr. Nelson is driven by a desire to help patients pursue the things in life that bring them joy, and she finds deep fulfillment in serving others through compassionate, informed care.
