He was honored as the National Health Service Corps Physician of the Year in 1995, acknowledging his outstanding contributions to underserved communities. Additionally, he received the National Guard Physician of the Year award in 2005, highlighting his dedication to both civilian and military healthcare.

Dr. Mark Tuccillo, DO, is a highly accomplished physician known for his dedicated service and commitment to patient care. Graduating from medical school in New Jersey in 1989, Dr. Tuccillo has made a significant impact on the healthcare landscape throughout his career.

In 1992, Dr. Tuccillo began his journey at SEARHC, where he worked to provide quality medical care. He briefly served in Nome before settling in Petersburg in 1993, where he established a long-standing presence in the community. For over three decades, Dr. Tuccillo has been a pillar of healthcare in Petersburg, ensuring the well-being of his patients through his expertise and compassion.

In April 2023, Dr. Tuccillo retired from full-time practice in Petersburg, culminating a remarkable career of service. Throughout his years in medicine, he found immense joy in witnessing his patients improve their health and maintain active lifestyles that allowed them to enjoy life to the fullest. SEARHC is honored to have Dr. Tuccillo joining our team once again to provide much needed healthcare services to our rural communities.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Tuccillo indulges in various activities that allow him to embrace the beauty of nature and spend quality time with his wife. He enjoys hunting, kayaking, hiking, and traveling, finding solace and rejuvenation in outdoor adventures. Above all, he cherishes the moments shared with his beloved wife, enriching his life beyond measure.
