Education and Experience
Dr. Ostrom graduated from the University of Washington with her undergraduate degree. She then continued her education at the University of Washington and received her Doctor of Medicine degree.
Dr. Ostrom pursued her Residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, at the University of Arizona. Returning to the University of Washington, she then completed her fellowship in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
Born and raised in Ketchikan, Alaska, Dr. Ostrom grew up with a deep connection to community, nature and resilience. She feels a sense of responsibility and love for the places and people of Southeast Alaska who shaped her. She is inspired by the opportunity to give back and to care for Alaskans in a way that honors shared experiences, values, and strengths. Being able to serve this community, even in a small way feels like coming full circle to Dr. Ostrom.
Personal Interests
Most of her time outside of work is spent with her family and two small children. They enjoy playing outside, going to the park, and making cookies and bread together in the kitchen. She has also recently picked up photography as a hobby and enjoys capturing portrait photos of her family as well as general Alaskan Landscape.
