Mark Mencel earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Montana and his Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies from Oregon Health & Science University.

From his home base outside of Haines, he provides after-hours care at Haines Health Center, with occasional clinic and urgent care coverage for SEARHC throughout southeast Alaska. He is passionate about helping people achieve their best possible health and wellness, and finds inspiration in supporting patients as they work toward their goals.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys skiing, running, packrafting, and hunting.
