SEARHC clinics will be closed in observance of the Indigenous People’s Day, Monday, Oct. 14. Emergency services are available 24/7 and urgent care services will operate as usual. Regular operating hours will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

Education and Experience
Dr. McMahan completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks where he received his B.A. in Social Medicine. He went to medical school and received his M.D. at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. Adam’s residency was completed at Alaska Family Medicine Residency in Anchorage.
During medical school and residency, Adam was fortunate to receive urban and rural family medicine training at sites ranging from Providence Alaska Medical Center to Bethel and Anaktuvuk Pass.
Dr. McMahan said he and his family are looking forward to joining and serving the communities of Haines/Klukwan.
Personal Interests
Adam’s special medical interests are rural emergency and preventative medicine, pediatrics, and palliative care. Outside the clinic, he enjoys spending time with family and dogs, subsistence activities, gardening, trail running, cycling, and bluegrass music.
