SEARHC clinics will be closed in observance of the Indigenous People’s Day, Monday, Oct. 14. Emergency services are available 24/7 and urgent care services will operate as usual. Regular operating hours will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

Awards and Honors
Dane serves as the dental representative to the Medical Care Advisory Committee for the State of Alaska and serves as a Board of trustee for the Make A Wish Foundation for Alaska and Washington. In 2017, he was awarded the mid-career dentist of the year by the Indian Health Service. In 2019 he received the Area and Regional impact award from the National Indian Health Board.

Education and Experience
Dane Lenaker obtained his DMD and Masters of Public Health from A.T. Still University. In 2022, Dane completed his Masters in Dentistry and Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Minnesota. Prior to working for SEARHC, Dane worked as a Dental Director at Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation overseeing dental therapists and health aids. Following his time as the Senior Clinical Director and AEGD Residency Director at SEARHC, Dane went back to school to obtain his specialty training and complete his orthodontic residency program. Dane rejoined the SEARHC Juneau Dental team with his orthodontic specialty training to diagnose, prevent, and treat dental and facial irregularities in children and adults. He is interested in dental research related to improving health outcomes in Alaska and has contributed to peer reviewed journals on the subject. When asked what he finds most rewarding about his work, Dane says “improving both the smiles and bites of patients throughout Southeast Alaska.”
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Dane loves spending time with his family enjoying the outdoors and traveling to new places.
