Education and Experience
Dr. David Good brings a wealth of diverse experiences and expertise to his practice as a cardiologist. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and went on to earn his Medical Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Medicine.
Dr. Good’s professional journey includes specialized training and residencies in Internal Medicine and Gene Therapy at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Louisiana State University (LSU) in New Orleans, Louisiana. He further honed his skills in cardiovascular disease through his tenure at Ochsner Health System in New Orleans.
Throughout his career, Dr. Good has been involved in various facets of medical practice, including private practice, academic teaching and hospital medicine. His dedication to patient care extends beyond conventional boundaries, as evidenced by his involvement in military medicine. Dr. Good has served as a Team Physician for the New Orleans VooDoo in the Arena Football League (AFL) and as a substitute team physician for the New Orleans Saints, enriching his understanding of sports medicine and injury management.
Since 2013, Dr. Good has contributed his expertise to the field of Aerospace Medicine as a member of the United States Air Force (USAF). His commitment to service led him to the distinguished rank of Colonel in the USAF, where he currently serves as the Commander of the 477th Aerospace Medical Detachment (AMDF) stationed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER).
Dr. Good’s profound sense of fulfillment in his practice stems from witnessing patients overcome life-threatening illnesses and reclaiming their normal lives. This ethos underscores his unwavering dedication to delivering exceptional care and support to those in need.

Dr. Good enjoys music, exploring new cuisines and outdoor activities such as hiking and fishing. Additionally, he has a keen interest in aviation and history.
