Education and Experience
Aaron Fong has a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from City University of Seattle. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies (sometimes called Ethnic Studies) from the University of California at Santa Cruz.
Prior to working for SEARHC Aaron was the Ketchikan Program Director for Southeast Alaska Independent Living (SAIL) which provides grant services, recreation, and advocacy to individuals who experience disabilities. He was a care coordinator and staff supervisor at Community Connections on Prince Of Wales island (POW) in Craig for two years. He staffed caregivers with older adult clients and made home visits with elders in Klawock, Craig, Thorne Bay and Hydaburg.
Before moving to Alaska in 2011 Aaron spent time as a clinic intern, then full-time case manager/clinician at Sound Mental Health which serves the entire greater Puget Sound, King County and Seattle metro area. In addition he worked for Catholic Community Services as a therapist/case manager in Everett, WA. Aaron worked for two separate programs– Jail Transition Services and the Non-Medicaid Program in Evertt. Both those programs served clientele in all of Snohomish County.
