Education and Experience
Dr. Elizabeth Hunt earned a Doctor of Optometry from the University of California, Berkeley. She completed rotations at sites such as the Miami VA Medical Center and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, which is routinely ranked the #1 eye hospital in the United States.
After graduating with clinical and academic honors, she relocated to Juneau to join a private practice, where she practiced for over a decade. Dr. Hunt then completed a Master of Science in Translational Pharmacology through The Ohio State University, specializing in Clinical Pharmacology and Clinical Trial Design. The degree has enhanced her ability to evaluate scientific evidence and provide clinical interventions accordingly.
Dr. Hunt joined SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) in January of 2024 and is particularly interested in glaucoma and specialty contact lenses, including those for pediatric myopia control.
Personal Interests
Dr. Hunt stays busy raising three young children in Juneau with her husband, and is passionate about public health efforts throughout the State of Alaska.
