Education and Experience
Dr. Mark E. Clyde, received bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Biology from Utah State University. He graduated from medical school at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, and completed his General Surgery Internship and Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center with the U.S Army. As a General Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Clyde specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal problems and injuries.
He enjoys sports medicine and the treatment of sports injuries. Dr. Clyde performs a wide variety of procedures on the shoulder, elbow, knee, and ankle as well as sports and work injuries. He performs hand and foot procedures and cares for trauma injuries and broken bones in pediatric and adult patients.
Personal Interests
When he is not working, Dr. Clyde enjoys spending time with his wife Susan of 39 years, his five boys, and grandchildren. He is an avid outdoorsman who loves hunting, fishing, hiking, rafting, skiing, snow machining, golf, and other recreational sports. Photography is his hobby. He loves to chase moose, bears, and other animals with his camera when it’s not hunting season. He looks forward to exploring Southeast Alaska.
