NP Blackburn began his nursing career at North Central Missouri College, where he earned his Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification. He continued his education at Excelsior University, receiving an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). NP Blackburn later earned both his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP) from Western Governors University.
NP Blackburn was born and raised on a rugged cattle ranch along the border of Idaho and Montana, near the majestic Continental Divide. Growing up in this close-knit, rural community instilled in him a deep sense of connection and a strong desire to serve the kind-hearted people who call the region home. His father, a proud Vietnam veteran and Purple Heart recipient, has been a guiding light throughout his life. Witnessing the compassion and care his father received through the VA Hospital inspired Dr. Blackburn’s passion for making a difference in the lives of those who have served the nation.
