Education and Experience
Walter David Argueta was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree. He later completed a Master of Public Health at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and became a Family Nurse Practitioner through Florida International University in Miami.
With more than 25 years of experience in medical mission work, Walter Argueta has served underserved communities across Latin America and Africa. He has planned, organized and led medical missions to Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Peru, Haiti, Uganda and Tanzania. His career includes work with several nonprofit organizations, and he remains deeply committed to global health equity.
Personal Interests
Walter Argueta enjoys traveling with his wife and connecting with people and cultures around the world. He believes every healthcare professional should experience at least one mission trip during their career.
