Effective Date: November 1, 2025
Beginning November 1, 2025, membership access to the SEARHC Sitka Fitness Center will be limited to SEARHC employees and Sitka Tribe of Alaska employees. This update ensures that all users have completed the appropriate waivers and can be properly identified for safety and security.
Why We’re Making This Change
- Liability Protection: Recent instances of individuals without waivers using the fitness center have created liability concerns. Limiting access helps ensure we remain compliant with safety standards.
- Safety First: Requiring SEARHC-issued badges means that only approved individuals will be in the facility, creating a safer environment.
- Focused Access: The fitness center exists to support wellness for SEARHC and Sitka Tribe of Alaska staff. This change aligns with that mission.
