Education & Background

Education

Christina earned her Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) at Appalachian State University in 2018. Prior to working for SEARHC, Christina worked for Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau where she served adult inpatients in the critical care, medical and surgery units as well as outpatient patients ranging from 3 years old to end of life. Christina has experience working with patients on the spectrum, youth with expressive/receptive language delays, patients post stroke and with traumatic brain injuries, as well as those with cerebral palsy, down syndrome, ALS, and oncology patients.

“The most rewarding aspect of my work is seeing a patient progress toward their goals and witnessing development of a new skill from all of their hard work in therapy. I also love the relationships that emerge from spending therapeutic time together. I get to learn a lot about my patients and their families, which is very special,” Christina said.
