Education

Kari earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at the University of St Augustine for Health Sciences, and her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at Loma Linda University. Prior to joining SEARHC, Kari had over 20 years of experience predominantly in rural health care settings. Her experience includes working at Peacehealth Ketchikan Medical Center in Ketchikan; and the California Department of Public Health, Licensing and Certification Division, Tri-Cities Medical Center in Oceanside, CA.
Kari’s interests includes hand therapy and chronic pain management, especially chronic regional pain syndrome. She is passionate about bringing exceptional care to the residents of rural communities.

When not in the clinic, Kari enjoys hiking, camping, reading, cooking/baking, playing piano and flute, and kayaking.
