Education

Dr. Amol Shah earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomolecular Science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan before completing a Master of Science in Orthodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also completed his residency training and earned a certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Dr. Shah specializes in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics and provides comprehensive orthodontic care for children, adolescents, and adults. His areas of expertise include traditional braces, clear aligner therapy such as Invisalign, early interceptive orthodontic treatment, dentofacial orthopedic treatment, and orthodontic care coordinated with orthognathic jaw surgery.

Biography

He is inspired by the opportunity to work closely with patients to help them achieve the smile they have always envisioned. Dr. Shah values the collaborative nature of orthodontic treatment and enjoys getting to know each patient, understanding their goals, and developing an individualized treatment plan. He finds it especially rewarding to see patients gain confidence throughout their treatment journey and to celebrate their results alongside them.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Dr. Shah enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible, including hiking, biking, running, and exploring new places. He is especially excited to explore Southeast Alaska’s trails and natural landscapes. He also enjoys nature photography, reading, cooking, and a little friendly competition on the pickleball court.
