Dr. Tad Buckingham, Doctor of Optometry (OD), is a skilled optometrist with extensive experience in ocular disease management and patient education. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Visual Science and his Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry.
Dr. Buckingham’s career has included working as a private contractor providing mobile eye healthcare services in assisted living facilities, as well as serving as an Assistant Professor, Attending Physician and Clinic Director at Pacific University College of Optometry. His expertise spans dry eye treatment, ocular injections and managing ocular diseases. Dr. Buckingham combines precise diagnoses with comprehensive patient education to ensure understanding and compliance with treatment plans.
Dr. Buckingham is inspired by the opportunity to be an advocate for his patients, providing tailored solutions to their ocular health challenges, while emphasizing the importance of education and collaboration.
Drawn to SEARHC by the unique challenges of rural medicine, Dr. Buckingham values the interdisciplinary collaboration and team approach that defines healthcare in Southeast Alaska.
