Dr. Zempenyi attended the University of Washington, where she earned both an MD, and Doctor of Dental Surgery, and did her post-graduate training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Zempenyi maintains a private practice in Seattle Washington, while regularly commuting to Ketchikan and Sitka for oral surgery with the pediatric population.

Personal Interests

Karen enjoys the ability to mix travel and work while serving multiple communities. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, tennis and reading non-fiction.
