Education and Experience
Alicia Kiger, DO, holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and animal nutritional sciences from West Virginia University and a master ‘s degree in nutritional sciences from Oklahoma University. She completed her residency in family medicine at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. Dr. Kiger joined SEARHC in August 2024, bringing her expertise in family medicine and obstetrics.
Dr. Kiger is passionate about forming relationships with her patients that foster healing and wholeness. Her areas of expertise include nutrition and osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT), which she integrates into her practice to support her patients’ overall health and well-being.
Drawn to SEARHC by the learning opportunities and inspiring leadership, Dr. Kiger is excited to contribute to the overall health of the Juneau community.
Personal Interests
In her personal time, Dr. Kiger enjoys spending time with her husband, Sam, and their dog, Bola. They love outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and foraging, as well as embracing the homesteading lifestyle through gardening, preserving and working the land. Dr. Kiger and her family also enjoy studying Hebrew culture and celebrating traditional feasts.
