A new chapter of care in Sitka

SEARHC is opening the new Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for Southeast Alaska. The new facility will be fully open for the first patient day on June 29, with emergency and inpatient care to move June 27.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

We were honored to celebrate the new facility with a ribbon cutting ceremony held on Thursday, April 23, 2026. This milestone marked a significant investment in healthcare for Southeast Alaska, one which reflects decades of partnership with tribal communities, patients, caregivers, and leaders.
