The new Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center is planned to open early in the summer of 2026. We’ll share exact dates as construction, licensing, and clinical readiness milestones are completed.

When will the new hospital open?
First patient day is planned for early summer 2026. We’ll share the opening date as we finalize readiness steps.
Will my clinic or provider change?
Your care team remains the same unless you are contacted with different instructions. Appointments will be transitioned to the new location when appropriate.
Where should I go for urgent care?
Urgent Care Services will be located in the MEMC building on the second floor, in the Ocean wing, following the opening of the new hospital.
How do I arrange travel for an appointment?

Will services expand at the new hospital?
Yes. MEMC adds capacity across emergency, inpatient, diagnostics, and specialty care. A full services list will be posted before opening.
