SEARHC offers comprehensive outpatient infusion therapy services, providing patients in Southeast Alaska with access to vital treatments closer to home. Our dedicated team of experienced nurses collaborate with your healthcare provider to administer medications and therapies in a comfortable and caring environment.

Advanced Infusion Treatments

Our infusion services encompass a wide range of treatments tailored to meet diverse patient needs such as:

  • Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy: Administering cancer treatments to target and eliminate cancer cells.
  • Osteoporosis Medications: Providing therapies such as Reclast®, Zometa® to strengthen bone density.
  • Intravenous Iron Replacement: Offering treatments like Venofer® and Feraheme® to address iron deficiencies.
  • Therapeutic Phlebotomies: Removing blood to treat conditions like hemochromatosis.
  • Vascular Access Device Maintenance: Caring for central venous access devices (CVADs), central venous catheters (CVCs), peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs) and Ports to ensure proper function.
  • Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH) Stimulation Tests: Conducting cortisol challenge tests to assess adrenal function.
  • IV Hydration and Electrolyte Replacement: Replenishing fluids and essential minerals.
  • IV Antibiotics: Treating infections with intravenous medications.
  • Immunoglobulin Therapy (IVIG): Supporting immune system function with antibody infusions.
  • High-Dose SoluMedrol® Infusions: Managing Multiple Sclerosis (MS) flares, giant cell arteritis, and other autoimmune conditions.
  • Blood Transfusions: Replacing lost or deficient blood components.

Please note, SEARHC does not provide dialysis or apheresis services.

Whether you are seeking services in Sitka or Wrangell, our outpatient registered nurses have Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Certification, allowing for specialized services in infusion therapy. These efforts have helped reduce travel burdens for patients across Southeast Alaska, allowing them to receive critical treatments closer to home.
