A new chapter of care in Sitka

SEARHC is opening the new Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for Southeast Alaska. The new Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center is planned to open early in the summer of 2026. We’ll share exact dates as construction, licensing, and clinical readiness milestones are completed.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

We were honored to celebrate the new facility with a ribbon cutting ceremony held on Thursday, April 23, 2026. This milestone marked a significant investment in healthcare for Southeast Alaska, one which reflects decades of partnership with tribal communities, patients, caregivers, and leaders.
