Education and Experience
Wayne earned his Bachelor of Arts at Princeton University, his Juris Doctor degree from University of Maine School of Law, his Master of Letters from Cambridge University, completed his post-baccalaureate premedical studies at Bryn Mawr College and achieved his Medical Degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. Wayne completed his Psychiatric Residency at the University of Florida.
Prior to joining SEARHC, Wayne worked for the Maine Attorney General’s Office, Great Plains Health in North Platte, NE, and Intermountain Healthcare in St. George, UT.
Wayne says, “I am ecstatic to join SEARHC and further its mission to help people in Southeast Alaska.”
Personal Interests
Wayne thoroughly enjoys the practice of general psychiatry, assisting people of all ages, backgrounds, and issues. He says there is a lot of joy in helping people reach their full potential, develop skills, grow in self-awareness, and find happiness in their lives and relationships. When not in the clinic, Wayne enjoys spending his free time with his wife and 2 puppies. He also loves Sitka’s pure fresh air and exotic scenery. His interests include history, law, and politics, and he devotes time to researching and writing a thesis on medieval English legal history.
