Education and Experience
Jeffrey Bevan, DNP, is a dedicated and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for patient-centered care and community involvement. He earned his Associate of Applied Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from Johns Hopkins University.
Jeffrey started his career in the Fire/EMS profession before transitioning to nursing in 1996 and becoming a Nurse Practitioner in 2006. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jeffrey provided coverage at a rural clinic in Cold Bay, Alaska, for Eastern Aleutian Tribes. Most recently, he has worked in various emergency departments and Level II trauma centers across Florida, New Hampshire and Virginia as part of the Healthcare Corporation of America (HCA) travel team.
Jeffrey’s desire to explore Southeast Alaska and work for SEARHC was fueled by the organization’s positive impact in the region, the investments made into community health services and the welcoming atmosphere he encountered. He is deeply committed to providing holistic, patient-centered care and appreciates the opportunity to serve such a diverse and resilient population.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Jeffrey enjoys spending time outdoors—hiking and connecting with nature. He also loves traveling, discovering new places, leisure reading and listening to a wide variety of music. Spending quality time with family is one of his greatest joys.
