JUNEAU – The SouthEast Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) WISEWOMAN Women’s Health Program (WISEWOMAN) is bringing state-of-the-art digital mammography technology to women in many Southeast Alaskan communities that would otherwise need to travel to have their mammogram performed. The WISEWOMAN program facilitates mobile mammography visits in the spring and fall each year to various communities in the region.

SITKA — Representatives from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will be in Sitka Wednesday, April 5 through Friday, April 7, 2017, to meet individually with Veterans interested in learning what benefits they may be eligible to receive.

The VA offers many benefits including health coverage, disability compensation, burial benefits, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) counseling and other services.

On March 16 and March 23, 2017, the SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) will host a drive to help add more potential bone marrow donors to the national Be The Match Registry®, the largest and most diverse marrow registry in the world. The drive will take place at the Ethel Lund Medical Center (ELMC) in Juneau (1200 Salmon Creek Lane) from 2-6pm.
