SEARHC Integrates Call Center for Sitka

Juneau, AK – SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) is excited to announce the addition of Sitka to the centralized call center located in Juneau. The purpose of the call center is to enhance the SEARHC patient experience by allowing clinical staff the time needed to provide the best healthcare for our communities. Since the debut of the SEARHC call center in January 2022, the center has expanded to a total of 13 staff members assisting with new patient registration, connecting patients with their care teams, appointment scheduling, as well as accessing triage tools to assist with determining the urgency of the patient’s needs.

Since its launch in 2022, the call center has grown to support 11 communities, while handling 88,824 calls. The call center this year has taken approximately 24,000 calls and has scheduled 21,000 appointments during that time. A majority of the Call Center Team are Alaska Native or have strong family ties to the Southeast Alaska region. Some have transitioned from working in a clinic setting to their current call center role while others have joined the team with a strong background in customer service.

For patients looking to reach our call center, staff are available Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. by calling 907.463.4040 or by calling your local clinic and selecting option 1 to speak to a call center representative.
