Stay Active, Stay Bright - Fall Fitness Challenge

Stay Active and Stay Bright this Fall with SEARHC’s 2021 fall fitness challenge. You are invited to participate in a free outdoor fitness challenge for all residents of Southeast Alaska. We invite you to keep track of your active minutes spent outside from October 18th to Monday, November 15th.

Every Monday throughout the challenge you will receive an email to log your minutes. Every time you log, you are entered into a prize drawing for a high visibility coat and other prizes! Register before October 11th and you are entered into our Early Bird special with increased chances of winning prizes!

How to Enter

Step 1: REGISTER HERE

  • You will be asked about which size jacket you would like if you win. Grundens Jacket size guide is here. Ogio Endurance Jacket size guide is here.
  • We are curious about ways to improve the man-made environment in your community, there is a question asking about solutions to problem areas in your town.

Step 2: DOWNLOAD THE TRACKER – This is only for your personal use to help you keep on track.

Step 3: SUBMISSIONS – Every Monday morning you will receive an email on how to submit your active minutes outside. Check to make sure this email is not in your junk box.

Step 4: QUESTIONS? Please send them to Doug at douglaso@searhc.org.

What counts as active minutes outdoors? Anything that gets you physically active and out in the fresh air counts!

  • Walking a dog
  • Doing a walk and talk meeting at work
  • Raking leaves
  • Cycling
  • Playing tag with your kids or grandkids
  • Hunting
  • Hiking

Win Prizes

Participants will track active minutes outdoors to be eligible for some very bright weekly prizes including high visibility jackets from Grunden’s. Everyone who replies by midnight each week will be eligible for prizes.

Get Social

Staying physically active and getting fresh air are important things to do throughout the year. Challenge your friends, family, walking buddy, and coworkers to participate. Get outside, de-stress, and maybe win a prize while you’re at it! We hope you can join us.

We would love to see photos of your progress, please post on social media and use the hashtag #SEARHCstayactivestaybright.
