JUNEAU, ALASKA – In response to the growing need for mental and behavioral health services, SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) is pleased to welcome Southeast resident Richard Holt, MD to Juneau Behavioral Health. Dr. Holt is a Board-certified psychiatrist who is now seeing patients of all ages for emotional and mental health treatment, medication management and recovery services.
Dr. Holt brings more than 14 years of experience practicing psychiatry. He has provided psychiatric services across the United States and New Zealand, mostly working in hospital settings. Dr. Holt has resided in Alaska since 2018 and has seen patients at Barlett Regional Hospital in Juneau as well as Southcentral Foundation (Alaska Native Medical Center) in Anchorage.
Dr. Holt completed his medical degree at the University of Florida’s College of Medicine and his psychiatry residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. He conducted research training in functional neuroimaging and brain stimulation. Dr. Holt is Board-certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and is an affiliate member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
Outside of work, Dr. Holt spends his time outdoors as much as he can. He enjoys biking, cross country skiing, fishing, kayaking and trail running.
