Juneau – As part of its regional healthcare service expansion, SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) has created a new Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy & Business Development Officer position; appointing leadership team member Heidi Aylsworth to the role. Ms. Aylsworth joined SEARHC in April 2020 as Interim Administrator at Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center. She will lead strategic planning initiatives, engage our medical providers and partners to grow service lines and coordinate business development and construction projects.

A 25-year veteran in hospital administration, Ms. Aylsworth served as Chief Strategy Officer for the Western Washington market of Providence Health & Services and other leadership positions within its Swedish Health Services system. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master’s in Business Administration from Western Washington University.

“Ms. Aylsworth is an experienced leader and patient advocate for the communities we serve,” said Charles Clement, SEARHC President & CEO. “She shares our commitment to improving access to high-quality care and will help SEARHC deliver a new era of medical services throughout Southeast and lead our expansion project at Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center.”

With a strong background in new healthcare facility design and construction, Ms. Aylsworth’s role is integral to SEARHC’s Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center Expansion and Construction Project. She will lead collaborative efforts to transform the nation’s oldest Indian Health Service (IHS) critical access hospital into a state-of-the-art healthcare facility to meet the current and future needs of patients.
