Sitka – The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) announced that COVID-19 vaccine doses are now available to the general public in communities across the region, and beneficiaries and existing SEARHC patients in Juneau. Appointments are dependent on registrations and will be scheduled as vaccine doses are received. To be considered for future vaccine appointments, SEARHC is urging all interested in receiving a vaccine to sign-up at covid19.searhc.org as soon as possible.
“Now is the time for adults of all ages to register for their COVID vaccinations,” said Dr. Elliot Bruhl, SEARHC Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer. “SEARHC is pleased to make the vaccine available to all sequence groups. We encourage you to be part of the solution by signing up and getting vaccinated, which is an important step in protecting the health of Southeast and slowing the spread of the virus.”
COVID-19 vaccines are available with no out-of-pocket charges. Patients ages 18 and older interested in receiving the vaccine are encouraged to register online now at covid19.searhc.org. A valid email address is required to register. The registration process takes approximately three minutes to complete using a laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Once an individual has registered online, SEARHC will email the patient a link to self-schedule a vaccination appointment.
Continuing to take precautions against COVID-19 remains critically important. SEARHC encourages continued mask use, social distancing, and frequent hand washing to help keep the virus from spreading. Ongoing COVID safety protocols remain in place at all SEARHC facilities.
Individuals who have questions regarding the vaccines are advised to contact their local SEARHC clinic. For more information or to register for a vaccination, visit covid19.searhc.org.
