Education and Experience

Thinn Aung graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology before earning a Master of Sciences (MS) degree in Counseling Psychology from Florida International University. Thinn also attained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Project Management from Herzing University in Orlando, FL.

Before joining SEARHC, Thinn gained valuable professional experience working with New Life Community Mental Health Center in the partial hospitalization programs (PHP) in Miami, FL; and Recovery Village, a residential dual-diagnosis treatment center in Orlando. She worked with the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) in the Cayman Islands as a clinician and program director.  In Miami, Thinn worked for Kids Therapy Services utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for children diagnosed with autism, ADHD and Global Developmental Delays.

Since arriving at SEARHC Thinn said “I am enjoying Juneau’s close knit community and SEARHC’s support in my career growth.”

Personal Interests

Thinn’s professional interests lie mostly with relationships, work-life balance and trauma. Outside the office, and since moving to Juneau Thinn has truly enjoyed the outdoors and fresh air.
