Education and Experience

Dr. Steffes earned a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR, and completed internships at Teplick Laser Center in Portland, OR, and The Children’s Eye Doctors in Redmond, Wash. She completed her Master of Business Administration at Washington State University.

Awards and Honors

Dr. Steffes received the 2008 Caplan Award at the Biennial Indian Health Service Optometrist meeting. The award is recognition of “exemplary service and programmatic contributions” to the Public Health Service Optometry Program

Personal Interests

Dr. Steffes provides a full range of eye care services to patients of all ages, including diabetic eye exams, contact lens services, refractive surgery co-management, and pediatric eye exams. Dr. Steffes also enjoys providing volunteer eye care services to those in need around the world, most recently traveling to Tanzania, Nicaragua, and Ecuador.
