Education and Experience
Dr. Vaughn earned her PharmD degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating Cum Laude (with Distinction) after graduating with honors from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science (biology/biochemistry) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (photography). She completed a PGY1 residency at the McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. She then completed a PGY2 residency with a specialty in Family Medicine and Academia at the Gatton College of Pharmacy, with most rotations at Quillen College of Medicine Family Medicine Clinics
Dr. Vaughn has a particular interest in diabetes management and chronic disease management. She serves as primary preceptor for pharmacy students completing rotations at the Ethel Lund Medical Center.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, maintains a love-hate relationship with running, and likes to relax with a good book.
