Education and Experience
Dr. West is the Director of SEARHC Dental Services. He earned an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) credential from the University of Oklahoma and a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland after attending Northern Arizona University for his undergraduate studies.
Before joining SEARHC in 2010, Dr. West was a dentist in Bethel for the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corp. (YKHC) and deputy director of dental services with YKHC from 2006-2010. He currently oversees SEARHC’s dental residency program through our partnership with NYU – Lutheran.

Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD).
Personal Interests
Dr. West serves on the board of the Alaska Academy of General Dentistry. He also is a graduate of the Kois Center (a continuing education program in esthetics, implant, and restorative dentistry based in Seattle). Dr. West enjoys hiking, biking, snowboarding, running, and being a roller derby referee.
