Lynn Prysunka, MD
Education and Experience
Lynn achieved her BSc at the University of British Columbia and earned her MD and CCFP at the University of Calgary. Prior to joining SEARHC, she was a family medicine provider in Calgary, Canada. She also worked as a geriatric program provider and ICU duty doctor at Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary. She has worked in Wrangell as a family medicine provider since 1996.
Lynn says, “I am new to the SEARHC team and I enjoy the support of the larger network of providers and I support the organization’s goal of providing excellent care for the citizens it serves.”
Lynn is the Wrangell Fire Dept/EMS Medical Director and enjoys working with a fine group of volunteers to continue to provide great prehospital emergency medical care in Wrangell. In her time away from clinic, Lynn has a Search and Rescue dog named “Sage” who she trains to find lost persons. She also enjoys running, and has a passion for half marathons.
