Education and Experience
Lora Jae, LCSW, CDCS, is a compassionate and experienced licensed clinical social worker who provides valuable services at Front Street Clinic. With a strong educational background and extensive experience in the health and human services field, Lora is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals she serves.
Lora holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. She furthered her education at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, where she obtained a Master of Social Work degree with a special focus on working with Native American and Alaska Native populations. This specialized training has equipped her with a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by these communities.
Over the course of her 18-year career, Lora has held various roles in the health and human services field, showcasing her dedication to helping others. From working as a Certified Nursing Assistant on a memory care unit to providing support for individuals with autism as a Direct Support Professional, she has gained diverse experiences that have shaped her compassionate and empathetic approach to social work. Lora has also served as a job coach, a Care Coordinator for a major health insurance company, and a Behavioral Health Unit Social Worker at a major hospital system, among other roles.
Lora’s true passion lies in building connections with individuals and acting as a conduit to improve their quality of life. She utilizes evidence-based and specialized forms of therapy, such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), to help clients heal from various mental health conditions, including PTSD and related conditions resulting from traumatic and adverse life experiences.
Lora Jae’s extensive experience, specialized training, and compassionate approach make her an invaluable asset to Front Street Clinic. Through her work, she strives to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities, enhancing their overall well-being.
Personal Interests
Outside of her professional commitments, Lora is an active member of the Juneau-Gastineau Rotary Club, where she contributes to community service initiatives and further strengthens her dedication to serving others.
