Darla Lauer, RN, is a skilled and compassionate nurse specializing in Case Management. She earned her Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from Cecil College in Northeast, MD, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Phoenix University. Additionally, she holds a Forensic Certification from the University of California Riverside and advanced training in Clinical Case Management from the University of California Sacramento.
Darla’s career spans several healthcare settings across the United States, including Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau, Alaska, and Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. As a travel RN Case Manager, she coordinated patient care in hospitals nationwide, ensuring individuals received the medical services and resources necessary for optimal recovery. Darla’s dedication to personalized care has made her a trusted and respected professional throughout her career.
Darla’s journey to nursing began at the age of five, inspired by her own hospitalization for pneumonia. This early experience solidified her desire to become a nurse, a dream she has pursued with unwavering commitment. She finds immense joy in the connections she builds with patients, cherishing the unique and meaningful interactions her career has brought into her life.Darla fell in love with Alaska years ago and moved to Anchorage in 2010. After completing a travel assignment in Juneau, she bought a home and waited for the perfect job to become available at SEARHC. She is thrilled to continue serving patients in the place she loves.
Personal Interests
When she’s not working, Laura enjoys traveling and exploring new destinations, crocheting, painting, hiking and restoring her 75+ year-old home.
