Education and Experience
Kari earned her OTD (occupational therapy doctorate) at the University of St Augustine for Health Sciences, and her BS/OT (bachelor of science in occupational therapy at Loma Linda University. Prior to joining SEARHC, Kari had over 20 years of experience predominantly in rural health care settings. Her experience includes working at Peacehealth Ketchikan Medical Center in Ketchikan; and the California Department of Public Health, Licensing and Certification Division, Tri-Cities Medical Center in Oceanside, CA.
Kari says, “I am passionate about bringing exceptional care to the residents of rural communities.”
Personal Interests
Kari has medical interests in hand therapy and chronic pain management, especially chronic regional pain syndrome. When not in clinic, Kari is active in the Civil Air Patrol and enjoys hiking, camping, reading, cooking/baking, playing piano and flute, and kayaking.
