Education and Experience
Cesre earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Sociology from the University of Colorado in 1999 and her Master of Arts in Counselor Education from Central Michigan University in 2002. Before working for SEARHC, Cesre gained mental health experience in Michigan and North Carolina during her positions as a mobile crisis management clinical coordinator, operational director of behavioral health services, and as both a private practice and community mental health outpatient therapist.
She is experienced in providing trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, crisis services, individual/family counseling, couples counseling, recovery-focused therapy and school based counseling services. Cesre is trained to work with children, adolescents, families, couples, trauma survivors and law enforcement. She has shown a commitment to serving on the mental health field through her various roles as a small business owner, critical incident stress debriefing team member, substance abuse task force member, community volunteer and mental health educator.
Cesre believes in a holistic and experiential approach to therapy where emotional and physical health are directly intertwined. She is both honored and passionate about supporting her client’s therapeutic journey. Cesre’s approach to therapy carefully considers individual’s ongoing readiness for change while seeking to build an atmosphere of acceptance and understanding that allows clients to feel comfortable and safe. Utilizing a person-centered approach, she works collaboratively with each client to identify and reach their personal therapy goals. Her focus is finding the most effective combination of therapeutic approaches to help clients be successful in creating their fullest possible life. She primarily uses trauma focused cognitive behavioral approaches, motivational interviewing, family systems therapy, play therapy and sand tray therapy.

What she enjoys most in life is laughter, travel, treasure hunting, music and time with her family. Cesre has two awesome adult children and two super cool canines.
