Cultural Arts Workshop for Teens in Sitka

Free Workshop for Teens

Youth ages 12-18 can get creative and explore the traditional arts at SEARHC’s cultural workshop series in Sitka.  Workshops include learning basic beading for earrings as well as how to make traditional dance headbands and dance paddles. This artistic experience will not only enhance cultural connections but foster conversations around living an enriching, active and healthy life.

Choose from a variety of workshops

Earring Beading
Friday, July 16 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday, July 17 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Felt Headband Making
Friday, July 23 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday, July 24 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Dance Paddle Carving
Thursday, July 29 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Friday, July 30 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m
Saturday, July 31 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
